Bonney Springs

www.bonneysprings.com

Bonney Springs is an Old Nevada town in the Red Rock Canyons.  It has tried really hard to keep its charm... that said, I think it's charm may be lost on the little ones.  They have a petting zoo that does have a lot of unique animals.  The petting part was a little off.  They also do have pony rides as well.

They also have an old western town that has plays and re-enactments.  This may be interesting to older children.  I have personally visited twice, and my family now refuses to return.
This may be a one time visit for most.

Cost is $20 a car and then the pony rides are an additional $6.

I'd rate it 2 stars.

Lied Discovery Museum

www.ldcm.org

The museum is located on the end of the strip on Las Vegas Blvd.  It is two stories and has a decent amount of activities for a half day event.  There are a number of employees to help with some of the stations and look out for missing kids.  The morning seems to be a little more busy then the afternoons, so this may be better for an early afternoon trek.  Price is okay, they do have a yearly membership that may be worth it if you plan on going more then once.

$8.oo for aduls
$7.00 for children 1-17

I'd rate it 3 1/2 stars.
